*** Sponsored News from Bábolna Bio ***
Since the very first Eurocido exhibition in the early 1990s, it has become a tradition for Bábolna Bio to be present and to be the only exhibitor from the Central European region.
Bábolna Bio was founded in Budapest, Hungary more than 40 years ago as a pest control servicing company. In addition to this, it is now involved in a number of other activities such as the manufacturer of rodenticides, insecticides, insecticide-free products, the synthesis of insect growth regulators and the distribution of products.

One of the most important areas is the large-scale manufacture of rodenticides covering all kinds of formulations, including grain and loose bait, pellets, wax and extruded blocks as well as fresh bait. To support these products on the market and to serve their customers in the long-term, Bábolna Bio supports bromadiolone under the EU Biocidal Products Directive (BPD). The inclusion of the Bábolna Bio source on Annex 1 is expected by the second half of this year.
The other active ingredient supported under the BPD is S-methoprene. Bábolna Bio is the only company in the European Union who has invested to support this compound. With their S-methoprene based products, Bábolna Bio can offer solutions to a variety of different applications, such as ant and flea control, bedbugs and vector control.

What must not be overlooked, is the attractive range of Biostop sticky traps. These are very popular with the amateur market, not only in Hungary but also in Austria, Germany and in other countries. Of course, these traps, more simply designed, are also used by the pest control industry for monitoring purposes. The annual production of traps for stored product moths, for cloth moths and the latest trap for fruit flies now exceeds two million pieces. The requirements and expectations for an insect-free environment without the use of toxic materials is predicted by Bábolna Bio to be a growth market.
As was also evident at Eurocido, Bábolna Bio is very active outside of Hungary with products sold in over 35 countries around the world.
