0The Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use (CRRU) is calling on professional pest controllers for help to create a more accurate national picture of resistance to rodenticides in rats and mice; and in return, participants will get a free indication of the sample location’s status. This comes about due to the “surprising and troubling” spread of resistance to rodenticides found by CRRU’s latest surveillance. It found not only that three-quarters of rats analysed carried a resistance gene, but that one-in-five had two different genes, known as hybrid-resistance.
