Behavioural resistance in rats and mice is a well-documented phenomenon – but how do we actually know when we’re encountering it?
Pest species will always adapt to their surroundings so as pest professionals, we need to be at the cutting edge of our trade.
This interactive session will see a panel of experts chat through their experiences of behavioural resistance in rats and mice, plus suggest practical approaches we can take to combat it.
The debate, a BPCA member-only event, is taking place on online via Zoom on Wednesday, September 3, from 12.30pm.
In this debate session, panellists will be asked:
- Where does behavioural resistance come from?;
- How do we identify behaviourally resistant rodents?;
- How can we adapt our approach to stop behavioural resistance?; and
- Is rodent control, in general, going to become harder and harder?
Members can also ask your own questions directly to the panel via the Zoom platform.
The panellists
Niall Gallagher, BPCA technical manager (host);
Alex Wade, Wade Environmental;
Dr Matthew Davies, RRAG; and
Chloe Smith, Pest Solutions.
