Is this right for me?
This certification is ideal for individuals responsible for conducting pest management inspections and delivering reports in settings such as food production, warehousing, packaging, retail, pharmaceutical and institutional environments.
Pre-requisites:
RSPH Level 2 Award/Certificate in Pest Management (or equivalent)
Level 2 Health & Safety
Level 3 Food Safety
Minimum 2 years’ industry experience
Exam structure
The exam consists of six assessed components:
- Assignments (10%) – five reports from different types of relevant premises;
- Pest identification (20%) – 20 specimens identified by common and scientific name;
- Trending & analysis exercise (15%) – create graphs and analyse pest activity trends;
- Pest risk assessment (15%) – scenario-based risk evaluation and recommendations;
- Short answer questions (30%) – written responses covering pest control knowledge; and
- Oral exam (10%) – oral exam focused on submitted assignments.
Exam fee:
£250 (+ VAT) for NPTA members; and £325 (+ VAT) for non-members.
