Contego Environmental Services has expanded into Ireland following a merger with Dublin-based Complete Pest Control.
The move brings Complete into the wider Contego group and creates a pest management operation employing more than 200 people across the UK and Ireland.
Complete Pest Control will continue to operate in Ireland under the leadership of founder and managing director Trevor Hayden, who will become head of Ireland for Contego.
Michael Taylor, founder and chief executive of Contego Environmental Services, said the merger gives Contego an established operating platform in the Irish market and strengthens the group’s ability to support customers with operations across both the UK and Ireland.
Mr Taylor said: “Ireland has been an important part of our growth plans, but it was always about finding the right business and the right people. Trevor has built a strong business with a great reputation and a culture that fits very naturally with Contego.
“We’re excited about what we can build together and about bringing our wider technology, specialist services and national-account capability into the Irish market.”
Mr Hayden added: “I’ve been really impressed by what Michael and the Contego team have built and by the pace at which the business continues to grow. There is a strong fit between the two companies, particularly around service, people and innovation.
