The Barrettine Group announced today (2 August) that Chris Parmiter is to step-down as divisional director at Barrettine Environmental Health as he seeks to set up his own business in the shape of offering training and auditing.
Co-operation between Barrettine Environmental Health and Chris will continue for some time as he works out his notice period, but also beyond that as he will be offering his services to Barrettine.

Barrettine group managing director Steve Bailey stated:

“Whilst we are disappointed that over the coming months Chris will be moving on, we understand and respect his decision to do so. Chris has a wealth of experience and knowledge of the industry and as such we will continue to work with him, and his new business, albeit as a customer. Chris has enjoyed over nine years at Barrettine heading up the Pest Control Division for much of that time.

“Chris has done a fantastic job and has helped to take Barrettine to another level in terms of technical support, customer service and innovative products as well as forging excellent customer & supplier relationships. The business is in great shape and well established as an independent supplier/distributor with both a healthy share of the UK market as well export business,” concludes Steve.

Chris Parmiter commented: “Leaving Barrettine after nine fantastic years has been one of the most difficult decisions of my life and whilst I’m excited about the opportunities in my new venture, in many ways it’s with a heavy heart that I leave behind both the company and the fantastic environmental health team.

“Barrettine has always had a very responsible and disciplined approach to the professional sector and their commitment to training, technical expertise, quality service and a wider contribution to the industry is a vision and direction I have shared since joining. I therefore look forward to working with Barrettine in some capacity in my new role and certainly wish them continued growth and success for the future,” Chris explained.

“Over the last decade Chris has helped to put together an excellent dedicated team, and whilst his departure is disappointing both personally & professionally he leaves behind an exciting opportunity,” concludes Steve.

A replacement for Chris is sought with immediate effect. Any interested parties should send in their applications and CV to Barrettine managing director: Steven Bailey, Barrettine Group, St Ivel Way, Warmley, Bristol BS30 8TY.
