The British Pest Control Association (BPCA) has recorded a new recruitment film, which will launch this month, alongside the association’s new online hub to showcase careers in pest management.
The project has been developed by BPCA’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee.
Scott Johnstone, BPCA’s marketing, technology and communications manager, said: “The film is part of BPCA’s wider campaign to tackle the industry’s recruitment challenge, and showcases the heart of pest management: helping people, solving problems and building meaningful careers.
“It forms a central part of the new careers hub, which provides practical resources for anyone considering entering the sector and for recruiters.”
Once launched, BPCA members will have full access to the video and supporting stills for use in their own recruitment campaigns, presentations and events.
“The careers hub will also include customisable templates, onboarding guidance, blogs, and links to job boards,” Mr Johnstone said.
“Pest management is facing a demographic cliff edge. Nearly 40% of the workforce is expected to retire in the next decade, at the same time as demand for services is growing. This is not just about filling vacancies – it’s about attracting a new generation that reflects the communities we serve.”
