CRRU has launched the latest Knowledge, Attitudes and Practice (KAP) survey for those that apply professional rodenticides.
Richard Moseley, Syngenta’s key account and business development manager, monitoring work group leader at CRRU, said the KAP had changed slightly this year.
“We want to capture some information about farmers who are no longer doing their own baiting,” Mr Moseley said.
“If they’re not using rodenticides, is it because they’re using a professional pest controller or are they using amateur products, because that’s all they can buy? “I think there’s just going to be more professional pest control done on-farm as we go towards the end of the year.
“The KAP may give an indication of this, or it may indicate that the farm sector is carrying out more CRRU- approved rodenticide training.”
CRRU asked for the three user groups – professional pest controllers, farmers and gamekeepers – to answer the questions honestly; responses are confidential and it should take around 20 minutes to complete.
“By taking part in the KAP, you’re taking an active part in the future of your own industry and business.”
