Pest control specifications aren’t just paperwork: they’re the foundation of many pest management contracts.

For clients in the food, pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors, getting them right is essential for compliance, audit success and business credibility.

In this extended online training session, available exclusively to BPCA members, Paul Westgate of Veritas Pest Consultancy will guide you through how to build, review and deliver pest management specifications that meet the high standards expected by accredited clients.

Using practical examples from real specifications, Mr Westgate will explain how to document the key components of a compliant service, from scope and risk assessments to site responsibilities, visit frequencies, and trend analysis.

The BPCA Keynote is taking place, via Zoom, between 1pm and 3pm, on Thursday, September 17.

This session is part of the BPCA Keynote series: longer, interactive online training courses designed to give members deeper, practical knowledge than a standard webinar.

In this member-only Keynote, Mr Westgate will cover:

  • What to include in a pest management specification – and why it matters;
  • How to align your specification with food and pharma standards (BRCGS, SALSA, etc.);
  • Defining scope, responsibilities and contract duration clearly for both parties;
  • Documenting service frequency, monitoring methods and risk-based inspections;
  • Writing detailed sections on monitors, EFKs, treatments and callouts;
  • Demonstrating competence, traceability and due diligence in documentation; and
  • Practical checklists to help you build or review your own client specifications.

More details

  • Tickets: Free (limited spaces)
  • BPCA Registered CPD points: 1.5
  • BASIS PROMPT points: TBC

To watch this webinar, you must be employed by a BPCA member company. BPCA said that non-members registering for the event will have their booking cancelled and will be unable to join the session.
