A quick glance at the exhibition plan reveals that there are six ‘first-time” commercial exhibitors at PestTech 2013. To help you decide who to visit here’s our summary of what you can expect to find when you visit them.

HS Direct is not only exhibiting for the first time, but also presenting a technical workshop on the company’s online health and safety system for pest controllers.

This Sheffield-based company was founded in March 2004. Today it has grown from a small start-up organisation with just a handful of clients to providing Health & Safety assistance to over 6,000 customers annually.

HS Direct’s James Murphy explains: “Our online system has now helped over 5,000 clients overcome Health & Safety barriers, winning clients millions of pounds worth of work that they would not have been able to win without the correct Health & Safety documentation.

“Over the years we have worked with hundreds of customers in the pest control industry to perfect our offering, and we are still working with customers to improve our systems today. Many in the pest control industry are very small companies and do not have the in-house skills to be able to complete competent Health & Safety documentation. This is where our service comes in. Working with pest controllers we have created a large selection of professionally written documentation available through our online Safety First Package. We are open 363 days a year to provide support to customer when they need us the most, and our price guarantee, ‘if you can find the same service elsewhere for less you can have it for free for a year’ makes sure we are the best value available.”

NPTA has negotiated a special deal for members so go along to the presentation or visit stand 43 or email James to find out more.

Another Sheffield-based business, Control Zone Products (CZP),is also attending for the first time. The company’s Matt Haslem says that they are proud to offer a range of Yorkshire-made insect killers, glueboards and UV lamps.

Sheffield is synonymous with steel production and famed for its fine production of cutlery and engineering that shaped the world.

Matt explains: “We are proud to offer a range of insect control products that are the finest build, are very effective and easy to service! As a specialist in the production of insect killers our competitive edge will help pest control companies.

“At the same time, unlike many other companies who now have to rely on the Far East, we are investing in the UK.Our team has over 30 years experience in designing quality insect killers and we have successfully launched into many countries, including the USA, where we have a warehouse in Atlanta GA. From here we build and despatch to the whole of the US.

“We are now looking to work with UK pest control companies and we look forward to giving companies an alternative choice to the many Far East produced products currently on the UK market.”

Go along to the stand to find out more or email Matt or call him on 0114 2560101.

Among the six new commerical exhibitors at this year’s event are four who also made a first appearance this year at PestEx.These are:

Vectorfog one of pest control’s largest equipment manufacturers, will be exhibiting its new UK online store Vectorshop.co.uk.

The online store will offer PCOs direct access to all the latest innovative equipment from Vectorfog alongside the best industry chemicals, says the company. It will also offer some of the best trade prices around, they add.

Customers will be able to set-up a trade account to access what the company describes as incredible discounts on approved products. The site will also provide unparalleled support and knowledge, through is dedicated support line, explains Vectorfog.

Jones & Sonsis based near Newton Abbott in Devon. It is a small company which has manufactured bird spikes since 1998 under the Defender brand. All products are invented, patented and manufactured in-house. Only the highest grade materials are used and the company offers a 25 year ”no rust” warranty on stainless steel spikes and a 15 year product warranty on UV polycarbonate bird spikes.

The company’s Dave Baskerville says the stand will feature the new Defender Solar Panel Spike.

“This has been designed to fix below the solar panel onto roof tiles. The 304 stainless steel wire protruding pins are angled outwards to provide a dense array of pins which will stop pigeons getting under the panels,” he explains.

Sentomol will be exhibiting a full and innovative assortment of insect population monitoring systems.

Sharda Worldwide Exportsis the final first timer. The companymanufactures and markets a range of products based on imidacloprid and deltamethrin.
