The regulatory environment for biocidal products in Great Britain and Ireland continues to evolve, creating increasing challenges for manufacturers across the industry. As regulatory requirements change, active substances are subject to ongoing review and reassessment, which can result in products being withdrawn regardless of their proven effectiveness and long-standing use by professionals.
Unfortunately, clothianidin, the active ingredient in Maxforce Platin, is among those affected by this process. As a result, Maxforce Platin will be withdrawn from the GB market in line with regulatory requirements.
Therefore, the phase-out dates for Maxforce Platin are as follows:
- Sold by date –March 30, 2027 (Product can no longer be purchased after this date); and
- Use by date –September 30, 2027 (Product can no longer be used after this date).

Customers are encouraged to review their stock levels and plan ahead to ensure product is used before the final use-by date.
Envu said it will continue to provide technical support and guidance throughout the phase-out period.
