Donna Alvey, NPTA’s membership coordinator, recently joined hundreds of others to light up the streets of Nottingham to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK.
“Walking the 10 kilometres in our neon and glow gear was a truly unforgettable experience,” Ms Alvey said.
“More importantly, every single step I took was deeply personal. I walked in honour of my wonderful mum, and all those I’ve lost or who are currently fighting this disease.”
Thanks to incredible support, Ms Alvey has so far managed to raise more than £500.
“To all those who you haven’t had the chance to donate, my fundraising page is still open,” she said.
“Every penny donated goes directly towards a cause that touches so many families
and helps to fund the vital resources. I’d like to say a massive thank you to those of you who shared my link, cheered me on, and donated, it’s been greatly appreciated.”
