Pelsis unveils range of sustainable LED fly control solutions

Pelsis Group has launched the Halo LED range, a new energy-efficient fly control solution designed to help businesses reduce operational costs while maintaining the highest hygiene standards.

Designed for use in food production, hospitality, retail, pharmaceutical, and industrial settings, the Halo LED range offers a 61% energy saving compared to traditional 45W UV fly killers using fluorescent lamps.

The patented UV LED technology ensures consistent insect attraction with reduced power consumption, helping organisations meet sustainability goals without compromising on performance.

The range features a uniquely positioned glueboard and a swing-open guard, allowing for quick, hygienic maintenance and improved insect catch rates.

This is the latest generation of Pelsis Group’s popular Halo range and is available in three different sizes. The Halo 15 and 30 models are both wall-hung models, whilst the Halo 2×30 is suspended from the ceiling to provide protection for large open spaces.

Stuart Morgan, group portfolio lead for insect light traps at Pelsis, said: “Halo LED is a highly effective, smart and sustainable fly control solution and we are confident it will meet the increasing demand for flying insect management in a range of sectors.

“The use of LED technology across the Halo 15, 30, and 2×30 models offers versatility and significant sustainability benefits with reduced energy consumption, electricity costs and a smaller carbon footprint alongside minimised waste owing to a longer lifespan.

“Developing Halo LED this way reflects Pelsis’ commitment to develop solutions which align not just with users’ and businesses’ pest control requirements, but their wider sustainability goals.”
