To add to his existing portfolio of activities, it has been announced that Nigel Binns is to take on the part-time position of Secretary to the International Fertiliser Society.
The International Fertiliser Society (IFS) was founded in 1947 for individuals who have a professional interest in any aspect of fertiliser production, marketing and use.
It provides a forum for the discussion and dissemination of contemporary knowledge covering all scientific, technical, environmental, economic and health and safety aspects of fertilisers. With an office currently based in York, Nigel is to be kept occupied by IFS for two days a week. Nigel does have agricultural roots coming from a commercial nursery and farming family background. He holds an honours degree in biology from John Moores University, Liverpool and an MBA from Derby University. Well-known in the world of pest control, Nigel is currently the immediate past president of BPCA. He will continue to run his own pest control company (Pestex Services) along with his training and auditing activities. Certainly a busy chap, Nigel is also to continue as editor of International Pest Control magazine. |
