The British Pest Control Association (BPCA) has published a new video update explaining the progress of its qualifications framework project and what the upcoming changes mean for pest professionals.
In the video, John Horsley, BPCA’s training and professional development officer, provides an overview of how the new framework is being developed and why it’s a crucial step in modernising pest management training across the UK.
John outlines how the updated framework will connect regulators, awarding bodies and training providers to create a clearer, more flexible pathway for professional development.
The update covers key areas including:
- Why the qualifications framework is being updated;
- The benefits for the pest control industry;
- The roles of Ofqual and RSPH in regulation and certification;
- How future qualifications will be delivered and supported; and
- Highlights from a live Q&A session with BPCA members.
BPCA says the work will ensure pest professionals have access to high-quality, regulated qualifications that reflect the complexity and professionalism of modern pest management.
