Killgerm Group has announced the retirement of Per Nilsson, founder and former managing director of Milluck AB, which became Killgerm Scandinavia AB.
In 2007, Mr Nilsson set up Milluck AB as a brand-new operation, focussed on the supply of professional pest control products to service companies throughout Scandinavia.
Killgerm Group was a key supporter of Mr Nilsson from the start and that partnership continued for the next 12 years, while Milluck AB was a stand-alone operation.
In 2019, Killgerm Group acquired Milluck AB, further strengthening the regional operations of Killgerm. The business was then rebranded as Killgerm Scandinavia AB.
At the time of the acquisition, the expectation was that Per would continue working for maybe two years and then retire. Dial forward seven years and Per has finally taken the big leap into his next adventure.
Mr Nilsson said: “Joining the Killgerm family was a natural step for me and gave a clear path forward for the business I had founded. I was made so welcome and I was given every support I needed. Why would I have wanted to leave any earlier?”
In the past 18 months in the run up to his retirement, Mr Nilsson has helped to implement a transition of leadership for Killgerm Scandinavia, which led to the appointment of Martin Nilsson as the new managing director in September 2024.
Rupert Broome, Killgerm Group’s group managing director, said: “I have known Per for all of my time in the pest control industry. He is just the nicest guy, and he also founded the most fantastic operation in Scandinavia.
“We will miss his dedication and passion for the business, but we are also very excited to hear what Per decides to do now that he is retired. On the behalf of us all at Killgerm Group I want to thank Per for everything he has done for the business and wish him every happiness for the future.”
