Two leading pest control servicing companies Igrox and Rokill have been awarded gold medals by RoSPA.
At an awards ceremony held earlier this year, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) awarded ‘Gold Medals’ to Suffolk-based Igrox and also to Rokill from Hampshire. Gold medals are presented to companies who are awarded a Gold Award over numerous consecutive years.

For Igrox, this is their fourth gold medal in recognition of eight consecutive Gold Awards in the period 2002 to 2009 inclusive, whereas for Rokill, this was their sixth consecutive Gold Award. The RoSPA Gold Award is given to a company that not only reduces the number of accidents and cases of ill-health in the workplace, but also has good health and safety management systems in place. The RoSPA Gold Award helps to reinforce the message that good health and safety make good business sense and clearly demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to high levels of performance in this crucial area. Igrox became members of RoSPA in 2001. “When we originally entered the awards scheme our aim was to get external verification that we are working proactively with regard to the health and safety needs of our employees and clients. Winning the Gold Award for the eighth successive year highlights that we are doing this and we are setting our sights on a ninth award next year,” commented Mark Braithwaite, managing director of Igrox. Brian Duffin, chief technical officer for Rokill said: “I am very proud to have accepted the award on behalf of our team.
