BASIS Registration has announced the appointment of David Grint as its new chief executive.
Mr Grint joins BASIS from the Royal Agricultural Society of England and Innovation for Agriculture, where he has led initiatives supporting innovation, knowledge exchange and industry development across the agricultural sector.
With extensive leadership experience spanning membership organisations, charities and commercial businesses, he brings a strong track record of organisational growth, stakeholder engagement and strategic development.
As chief executive, Mr Grint will oversee the continued development of BASIS’s professional registers, training programmes and industry partnerships, while ensuring the organisation remains responsive to the needs of its members and the sectors it supports.
Mr Grint said: “I am delighted to be joining BASIS as its new CEO. As its members know, BASIS is fundamentally important to the UK’s agricultural, horticultural, land management, amenity and pest management sectors through its support of professional standards, training, auditing and certification.
“I look forward to bringing the knowledge gained over a broad-based career to support its important mission and goals.”
