Shield Pest Control donate to help Bromley food bank

Shield Pest Control and the Royal Warrant Holders Association Charity Fund have donated a cheque for £4,000 to Bromley Borough Foodbank.

The cheque was presented to the charity on by Shield Pest Control’s managing director, Daniel Steward, and Shield team members, Alison Bennett and Emily Boorman, along with Charity Fund and Plowden Medal Manager of the Royal Warrant Holders Association Charity Fund, Claire Anderson.

Christine Harris, Deputy Mayor of Bromley and Bromley Borough Council, attended the event of handing the cheque to chief operating officer of Bromley Foodbank, Amanda Stone.

Ms Stone said: “The support from Shield Pest Control and the Royal Warrant Holders Association Charity Fund has been invaluable.

“The amount donated will provide immediate support for those in need and we couldn’t be more thankful for their generosity.”

Mr Steward added: “The cost-of-living crisis has been extremely tough for many people who are struggling to afford daily necessities such as food items.

“We were keen to support the local community and provide help for those who are in need, in the aim to reduce hunger in the area.”
