The National Pest Technicians Association has become a Pest Minds Charter Signatory, recognising its commitment to promoting mental health and wellbeing across the pest management industry.
Kevin Lawrenson, NPTA chief executive, said by becoming a Charter Signatory, the NPTA is formally demonstrating its commitment to supporting the principles of Pest Minds and helping to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing throughout our sector.
“We are also delighted to confirm that Pest Minds will be joining us at PestTech 2026,” Mr Lawrenson said.
“Following the success of last year, we will once again be inviting visitors to enjoy our “Have a Coffee on Us” initiative. Sometimes, taking a few moments away from the exhibition floor to sit down, have a drink and talk with colleagues can make all the difference.”
And that’s not all.
“We are planning an exciting new addition to this year’s event,” Mr Lawrenson said. “Without revealing too much just yet, visitors can expect something a little different, interactive and perhaps surprisingly therapeutic. More details will be announced in the coming months.”
Mr Lawrenson added: “I am incredibly proud that the NPTA has become an official Pest Minds Charter Signatory. Mental health affects every workplace and every individual differently, and as an industry we have a responsibility to ensure people know that support is available and conversations around wellbeing are encouraged.
“Pest Minds is doing fantastic work in raising awareness and creating safe spaces for people to talk openly. Through our partnership and our presence at PestTech 2026, we hope to continue breaking down barriers, challenging stigma and reminding everyone in our industry that looking after our mental health is just as important as looking after our physical health.”
