From today (January 1, 2026), qualifying BASIS PROMPT members will be able to access their BASIS PROMPT Certificate including the CRRU logo, through the new member area which can be accessed here.

This certificate will be issued once members fulfil the required criteria for 2025 and can be downloaded through their member area.

If the required criteria has been met, your membership card displaying the CRRU logo will follow. These may take a little longer to produce and dispatch, but the online certificate will provide immediate proof of compliance and will allow members to purchase professional use rodenticides at the point of sale. Your current CPD points total is visible on the member area.

What are the CRRU requirements?
To comply with CRRU UK stewadship requirements from January 1, 2026, professional users must meet one of the following criteria:

Option 1
Hold a certificate for a CRRU UK-approved rodenticide qualification achieved within the last five years.

or

Option 2
Hold a certificate for an earlier rodenticide qualification or training course, and maintain current membership of a CRRU UK recognised Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme, such as BASIS PROMPT.

In addition, users must complete the required 2025 CPD, including a minimum of three CRRU points, where applicable.

BASIS said that a large number of BASIS PROMPT Members do not currently have the required amount of CRRU points.

In a statement, BASIS PROMPT said: “Thank you for your continued commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and responsible rodenticide use.

“The BASIS PROMPT TEAM is here to support you through these changes, and your cooperation as they work to ensure compliance across the sector is much appreciated.”
