What must be virtually the final list of exhibitors and programme for this event to be held the AJ Bell Stadium (formerly Salford City Stadium) in Manchester is available on the BPCA website.

PPC Live is the most recent edition to the exhibitions and conference scene in the UK. Running over a single day – on Wednesday 21 May 2014 – BPCA says the event is designed for technicians, surveyors and company owners to help improve their technical knowledge, earn vital CPD points, and keep up-to-date with the latest industry changes and products.

With around 50 exhibitors there should be plenty to see. The majority of these exhibitors are familiar companies, with most coming from the UK – unlike PestEx which attracts a greater number of international companies. Follwo our link for an updated list of companies, plus a floor plan.

Seminar programme and technical area
As is now customary at such events, there is a programme of topical seminars and practical demonstrations running alongside the exhibition. As explained by BPCA chief executive, Simon Forrester: “The seminar and technical schedule for PPC Live has been put together with the ‘technician in mind’, to ensure everyone is kept up-to-date with the latest industry changes and practices, whilst earning vital CPD points.”

The first seminar on at 09.30 is Pest associate editor, Helen Riby, who will be presenting the hot-off the presses results of the latest National UK Pest Management Survey, run jointly with BASF Pest Control Solutions. A novel twist to the presentation will be a comparison looking to see if those based in the North see things differently to those in the South?

The other seminar topics cover the pretty familiar ground of SGAR stewardship, mouse treatments, bed bugs and integrated wasp management. The issues surrounding pesticide waste management are to be addressed by a speaker from the Environment Agency and there is also be a panel discussion debating what clients look for in a pest control contract.

Full details for both the seminar and technical programme are available on the PPC Live site.

All those wishing to attend are encouraged to pre-register – those that do have the chance of winning a prize on the prize draw wheel.

Details are available to help you find this venue, travel and accommodation details.
Pest will be there reporting on proceedings, so we look forward to seeing you then!
