Plans for the integration of Sorex with BASF begin to emerge

LinkedIn +

Following the acquisition of Sorex and Network by BASF just before Christmas 2008, the industry has been awaiting news of the new company structure.

In a pre-launch briefing exclusive to Pest, it has been revealed that the new name for the pest control section of BASF is to be BASF Pest Control Solutions. Further announcements and more details of the new structure are to be revealed this week at Pestex.

However, the products of all three organisations – BASF, Sorex and Network – will be on display at Pestex on one combined and unified stand.

This is the good news.

As all industry gurus forecasted, the Network bird control operation, which fails to fit within such a research-based multinational business, is being tidied-up for sale – or to use “corporate speak” it is being restructured into a separate department.

There are several suitors in the frame currently considering their positions. Or maybe even a management buy-out? We will have to wait and see.

News on further develpments will be reported here as they emerge.
