Welcome! New faces and a change for some older ones within the industry

We are delighted to announce some changes of job responsibilities within the industry, along with the arrival of some new recruits. All were spotted at PestTech. So welcome and good luck, one and all.

Dave Marris has returned to the industry to head-up marketing and communications for BASF Pest Control Solutions’ across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

He takes up his position in the expanded BASF pest control business, as Martina Flynn moves to head of sales and market approach for BASF Pest Control Solutions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

SX Environmental Supplies has added to its team with the addition of two new members of staff.

Paul Tanner has recently joined SX as its new operations manager.

In this role, Paul will take responsibility for the smooth running of SX Environmental”s customer-orientated operations. This involves ensuring that all client production-based requirements and expectations are fulfilled in terms of delivery, efficiency and quality through the overall direction of the support and production teams.

Also joining SX is Phil Fountain who becomes an additional area sales manger to cover London and the East of England.

Phil has a long career in the pest control industry – having worked for a number of pest control companies, London Underground and Three Rivers District Council as Technical Officer before moving to Hunt, the Belgium-based pest control company, where he worked all over Europe.

Agropharm, the Buckinghamshire-based pesticide manufacturer, has appointed two new area sales managers to complete their team of four covering the UK, under the guidance of Tim Bridge, sales manager for UK & Ireland.

The first, Tracey Kirkham (who unfortunately missed PestTech as she was not well) covers the north of England.

Their second adition is Nick Ulyatt who has been recruited to cover the south east and East Anglia. Nick”s appointment completes Agropharm”s nationwide network of representatives.

Not forgeting the ladies, we are pleased to welcome Sadie and Jenni to the UK pest control industry.

Sadie Baldwin is the new editor of Pest Control News having taken over from Emma Pemberton, who after five years at the helm, has passed her law exams and left earlier this autumn to follow a legal career.

In addition to herPest Control News responsibilities, Sadie also acts as executive assistant to Killgerm MD, Jonathan Peck. She is also responsible for the organisation of the annual Pest Control News dinner held immediately after PestTech each year.

Having successfully masterminded this year”sPCNdinner, it must be plain sailing for Sadie from now onwards!

Finally, but by no means least, PelGar, the Hampshire-based British rodenticide manufacturer has expanded its sales team with the appointment of Jenni Smithson.

Jenni has been appointed regional account manager for PelGar International. She will be responsible for Wales, the South West and West Midlands.
