Votes this year were particularly widely spread amongst the 14 shortlisted products but with four bird management products shortlisted it always had the makings of a bird management year. In the end Agrilaser Autonomic laser bird dispersal system was a clear winner.

In second place there was a dead heat between SX Dotz insect gel bait platform from Edialux and Aura Black electronic fly killer from Insect-O-cutor, both part of the Pelsis Group.

Just one vote behind them was another bird management product, the new Defender Post & Wire Holder system from Jones and Son, which took third place.

Also receiving good support was Aquatain AMF liquid mosquito film from Barrettine and Vazor DE powder from Killgerm.

Dan England spoke on behalf of all his colleagues at PestFix: “We are delighted to receive this prestigious accolade in the face of stiff competition from 13 other contenders. Agrilaser Autonomic’s capabilities and achievements are constantly evolving, with new applications emerging day-by-day across a broad range of industrial, commercial and agricultural sectors. We would like to say a big thank you to the readers of Pest magazine for supporting us and for getting behind this exciting new technological advancement in chemical-free pest control.”

Helen Riby associate editor at Pest added: “We were equally delighted to present the 2016 trophy to PestFix, who were successful with the first ever product nominated from their stable. We would like to thank all the readers and companies who supported this year’s Pest Best Product Award. Look out for details of how to nominate products for the 2017 Award in the New Year.”
