Pest professionals asked to road test Environmental Risk Assessment documents

LinkedIn +

At the PestTech event on 2 November, the Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use (CRRU) issued a prototype Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA) Form together with guidance notes on how to complete it, asking pest professionals to road test the documents over the next few months.

The new environmental risk assessment information has been produced as part of the UK Rodenticide Stewardship Regime.

CRRU stressed that these documents – a 10-page Environmental Risk Assessment guidance booklet and the 2-page Environmental Risk Assessment Form are not necessarily the final product.

CRRU’s intention is for the format to be road tested by professional pest controllers. In a few months’ time, feedback will be gathered in conjunction with the trade associations who helped produce the information, to establish how the format is working for their members and what improvements may be required.

If after road testing the documents you would like to comment then please contact your trade association with your views.

Both documents are also available from the Pest library and from the CRRU stewardship website.
