US-based Rollins Inc, best known by its subsidiary pest control brand of Orkin, finalised the acquisition of Enfield-based Integrated Pest Management Ltd (IPM) not long before Christmas.

Gareth Turner, managing director of Integrated Pest Management, founded the business in 2000. Since then, the company has grown and gained a reputation for providing a high-quality service in the commercial and residential markets across London and the Home Counties.

Matt Turek, division president of Orkin International, said: “The acquisition of IPM will help us to continue to expand our footprint within the UK.

“Both Orkin and IPM share a culture of exceptional customer service. We are pleased that Gareth and his team will remain with the company, and we look forward to learning and sharing best practices.”

Mr Turner said that due to increasing organic growth, combined with the award of a national high street client, it became clear that the business, staff and customers would greatly benefit from IPM being aligned with another reputable and established pest management organisation.

“Following discussions with the Safeguard/Orkin UK leadership teams I am very confident that we have found the right partner,” he said.

“IPM will always be something that I will cherish. It has been my life for the last 22 years and what we have achieved as a team is remarkable. Safeguard/Orkin will now take us to the next level.”|

The company will continue to trade as Integrated Pest Management.

IPM is the latest addition to the growing number of Orkin companies in the UK. This began with the acquisition of Safeguard Pest Control in 2016. Since then, the AMES Group, Kestrel Pest Control, Enviropest, Baroque Pest Services, the Guardian Group, Albany Environmental and Van Vynck Environmental have all been added to the Safeguard/Orkin family of businesses.
