Andrew Milner joined Pelsis as the company’s CEO on 4 March. This followed the sudden departure of previous CEO, Peter Mangion, a matter of days earlier.
Chris Thomas, Pelsis Group chairman said: “We welcome Andrew Milner to the team and look forward to leveraging his extensive experience of change management to facilitate the ongoing integration of the Group’s recent acquisitions as we continue to drive an agenda of growth.”

In 1984 Andrew graduated in mechanical engineering from Southampton University. He has has spent the last dozen years working within the aircraft and aerospace industry, most recently as CEO of Northern Aerospace prior to its sale to Gardner Aerospace in 2018. He also holds an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management.

Andrew said: “I’m looking forward to leading the Pelsis Group and continuing to drive the growth of the business globally, particularly at such an exciting time in the Group’s history.”

Andrew replaces Peter
Andrew replaces previous CEO, Peter Mangion, who suddenly left this post at the end of February. Peter had been with Pelsis, or P+L as it was when he joined, since 2006, as recorded by Pest on our visit to the HQ at Knaresborough in 2012. Peter is now company owner at Team44 Racing.

Up until his departure, his tally of acquisitions stood at eight accompanied by the LDC-backed management buyout in 2017. As recorded during an interview with Peter at PestWorld in October 2018, he took the business from a turnover of £7 million in 2006 to a combined turnover, following the Curtis Gilmour acquisition in August 2018, to £120 million.

Also left…
Peter’s leaving is the latest in a series of staff departures at Pelsis. Tom Holmes, the head of durable product development left in January this year and Steve Jackson, head of sales, also left at the end of February.

First day for Andrew… in Belgium
Within a couple of days of joining, Andrew was whisked-off to the opening of the Pelsis Group’s new Belgian site in Bornem, near Antwerp. This replaces an existing Belgian site with a high specification distribution centre and offices servicing the Benelux markets. Timed at the same moment was the rebranding the Belgian business to Pelsis Belgium.

Elsewhere it was business as usual for the Pelsis team. The company had a bright and cheeerful stand at Disinfestando in Milan, Italy during the exhibition which ran from 6-7 March 2019.
